This Concealer Is The Epitome Of No-Makeup Makeup

image-1I expect a lot from my foundation and concealer. They need to A) effectively cover blemishes, redness, and hyperpigmentation; B) blend effortlessly; and C) lookand feel like skin. The first two aren’t too hard to come by — there are dozens of creamy, high-coverage formulas on the market. The third point is where things get tricky.
Last year, I discovered Urban Decay’s Naked Skin. I loved the high-coverage, plumping effect it lent my complexion. I thought I had found “the one.” I was monogamous and committed. Then, I discovered Too Faced’s Born This Way concealer.

Now, don’t get me wrong — I still love my UD Naked Skin. But Born This Way is completely different. As its name suggests, it actually makes you look like you were born with an even complexion. (Urban Decay’s has a more airbrushed finish.) As you blend it into your skin, the product seemingly disappears, leaving a veil of coverage that masks imperfections but still looks (and feels!) like actual skin.

Don’t believe me? Let me give you an example: Last weekend, I took a six-hour bus ride to celebrate the Fourth of July with my boyfriend’s family. When I got off the bus, I expected my concealer to have melted off my face. But when I caught a glimpse of myself in a window, my coverage was entirely intact (save for a bit of wear around my nose, where I get the most redness). Not bad!

During the month I’ve been wearing this concealer, it’s become the first thing I reach for in my makeup bag. On most days, I’ll slick a few lines in the center of my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, around my nostrils, under my eyes, and on my chin before blending with a foundation brush. It offers medium coverage, but easily layers for more opacity without veering into cake-face territory.

Lastly, this stuff contains coconut water (like the brand’s Hangover Primer, which I also love), so the formula doesn’t stick to dry patches on the skin. It also makes the product smell like a tropical vacation (yes, please). Still looking for that elusive no-makeup makeup concealer? You might just have found it.

Look, we’d be lying if we said we hadn’t used some of the products in our bathrooms and makeup bags in some novel ways, too. But before you start multitasking, it’s a good idea to ask your dermatologist before you put any product that’s not intended for the eye area near it.

Protein Coffee Smoothie man recipes

Cold-brew coffee and breakfast in one glass. Coffee and smoothies. Two great morning obsessions. It’s the perfect combo. Coffee gets you going, while smoothies keep you going long after that caffeine kick fades. Packed with protein, you’ll also get your caffeine fix and protein needs in one.

We add coconut milk, protein powder, flaxseed, cinnamon and nutmeg for a thick, creamy and sweet smoothie recipe low in calories and rich in protein, that will keep you fuelled and energised.

Coffee Smoothie Ingredients
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup cold coffee
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tbs ground flax seed
2 tsp honey/ agave
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
ice cubes for added thickness
Coffee Smoothie Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Blend until smoooooth!
Pour into glass and enjoy.
Tip! Chill leftover coffee in the fridge or freeze leftover coffee into ice cubes. Then add to smoothies when needed.

How to make healthy free energy

NO-BAKE ENERGY BITE BASIC RECIPE

Energy bites are super easy and quick to make. No awesome kitchen skills required! This recipe makes about 20 balls.
Ingredients

2 – 2 ½ cups core ingredients
½ cup nuts or nut butter
½ cup dried fruit (or chocolate chips)
1/3 cup sweetener
½ – 1 tsp flavor enhancer
1 – 2 tbs health booster
Of course this is just a starting point. You can be more adventurous and change things up a lot more. Just keep the consistency of the mixture in mind, as you want it to hold together when you roll it into tasty little energy balls! If you prefer your bites more sticky, be careful with how much extra “glue” you add, as these ingredients tend to be heavier on the calories.

Instructions

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly combined.
Allow mixture to cool in the refrigerator for 15 – 30 minutes.
Once chilled, roll into energy balls!

You’re looking for energy to power you through your workout and also want it to be easily digestible so it won’t upset your stomach when you’re exercising. To do this, add in more fruit. Also, carbs such as oats are great, as they’re low-glycemic, meaning that it’ll help avoid big fluctuations in blood-levels and provide you with a steady stream of energy.

What to do:

Clean up your diet. Sugar, alcohol and fried foods contribute to inflammation and attack collagen, leading to breakouts and premature aging.
